What is “Share your Order” ?

What if you could share your oder with your friends? And they can get a great discount if they purchase the similar items you bought! Meanwhile, you could get a bonus from the company. How exiting it is! As a social based e-commerce company, over 40% of our users play this game with others, it’s fun, engaging, and nurturing relationships with others.

Why we need to redesign “Share Your Order” ?

“Observe the Data“

After COVID-19, Weee! has a 700% YoY growth. However, the Order sharing has a drop down. According to the date, the sharing rate for first time users and second time users decrease, especially the for the English Speaker Users. The scope for this redesign is:

  1. Increase Share View Visitors / Sharers

  2. Increase Follow buy orders

  3. Increase English Speaker Users to Share Order

  4. Update the New Design Style

How do I get there?

“Listen to The Users“

Five C Design Principle

I used my Five C Principle ( which I learned from my design experience ) to help me to ship the products, and you can find more details about this concept here

I’d like to share three things I learned here here.

  1. Put your foot in the others shoes

iMac - 1.png
  • 12% of the Chinese users of 75.8% change their language to share

  • Also increase 45%-76% in the detail page, 45%-76% in referral page, and conversion rate page from 55% to 87%, total : 98%

2. More accurate information and clear CTA

  • Click rate increase from 42%-56% which is over 20%

3. Easy and engaging for the user to involve

Reflections

This is an idea that I've always felt passionate about, and I gave myself about three months to work on. I had fun during the process. Three main lessons I learned from this project are:

  • The sky is the limit, but with technology and time constraints, I learned to prioritize features that provide the most value to users;

  • Consider human factors to enhance the UX: the "fat finger" problem, Fitts' Law;

  • Visual design is a crucial part of the overall experience, especially when the function of the app is heavily dependent on the information hierarchy and legibility of the content.
